Our Anniversary Gift
Funny how having kids changes your idea of a great gift.

Take our anniversary this year. The wife got an offer from our kids' former excellent babysitter who will be home from college over the weekend to watch them overnight, so we can plan a little one-night getaway.

We're going here.

We've eaten at the restaurant previously, and enjoyed it. It's within easy walking distance to a number of different Nordeast entertainment options. A romantic dinner; evening out without needing to make it home for the kids' tuck-in; a blissful night of uninterrupted slumber; brunch the next morning.

Happy 14th Anniversary (a wee bit early) to us both!

Looks like a nice place. Enjoy. My wife and I recently went out for a 'last weekend' before the child arrives. We went here. It's a beautiful spot on the coast of Maine, only the pictures don't show how stinking cold it was in February.

Outstanding choice, Doug. We've never stayed there, but it's our favorite "special night out" place to eat, and I can't imagine that they'd disappoint. As a very picky eater, it's the only place where I'll pretty much just trust that I'll like something without worrying about what's in it.

Slublog, my wife and I just got back from our "last big vacation" before our first child arrives (July). We're not sure what our "last weekend" might be, but it'll probably be local if we do something like that (maybe we'll steal Doug's idea!) Anyway, good luck in April!
