An Endorsement
With all my George Washington-like gravitas as the inaugural mayor of the Minnesota Organization of Blogs (from which I have since been unceremoniously banned - damn you John Hinderaker!): I hereby endorse Margaret Marteen to be the next Mayor of the MOB. She's like Sarah Palin, only more anti-taxy.
No offense to the other candidates ( except for Andy... dude... give it up... you're embarrassing all of us other former elected officials. ) Margaret is exactly the candidate we need in these troubling times. She can grow stuff in her yard to eat. We'll need that kind of insight when our banks refuse to give us our money.

BTW, I took your advice and pulled all my red/reddish tomatoes a few weeks ago. I pulled another group that had turned red since then and am processing them separately to see if you are right about the temp drop leading to inferior tomato flavor. They sure look the same.
If we haven't lost our house by next year I'm going to learn how to can vegetables. Hello Auntie Em and the Great Depression!
